In our Sunday adult education course, Rev. Dr. Robert (Bob) Linthicum(retired pastor and currently on the staff as the as Ministry Group Coordinator) will be taking us through the book of Revelation - chapter by chapter - so that we can unlock the secrets of the Bible's most bewildering book. If we do unlock it, we will discover a message that will equip us to be Christians faithful to God in a hostile world.

Beginning on January 5, 2014 a new adult Christian education series was taught by Dr. Stephen Davis. It was called: “After We Die: Christ and the Future.” The topics (listed below) are seldom covered in churches despite the fact that all of us are curious about them.

The course that was completed on December 29th was a study of the Gospel of Matthew.
The previously completed series which began on April 7th was entitled "Christianity and Science." Starting Conversations: How do we understand the Bible and scientific discovery? Are they compatible? How do they relate to where we come from, our place in the universe, our relationship to God, and our appreciation for creation? This adult education series will help us explore some of these questions and have engaging, civil discourse about them. Bible scholars and scientists from our own congregation and documentary films will guide our journey together. Matt Thomas, M.Div.,PhD. is an adjunct professor of Hebrew Bible and Old Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary and Azusa Pacific University. Dave Vosburg, Ph.D. is an associate professor of chemistry at Harvey Mudd College. Jason Price, Ph.D. (evolutionary ecology) is interim library director at the Claremont Colleges Library. The Feb-March 2013 Adult Education study was led by Dr. Scott Cormode and was entitled "Between Two Worlds."
A study of Advent for Adult Ed class was led by Jonny and Tanya Eveleth and was a study of key characters who we encounter at Christmas. Each of them has something to teach us about the Christ who was and is and is to come.

On 9/30/12 Steve Davis began a 9 week course on "How the Psalms Can Help Us in Our Spiritual Lives." The classes were held in the sanctuary beginning at 10:40am - ending at 11:30. Steve used selected Psalms he believes can help Christians grow in Christ.
On 9/23/12 the Adult Education Class completed a study of The Gospel of Mark. The class was led by a group of the LVHPC family which included ministers, professors, teachers, and several lay leaders. Their gifts of time and leadership are greatly appreciated by the congregation.
Previously in 2012 our studies have included:
