At La Verne Heights Presbyterian Church our worship is Christ-Centered with Scripture-based preaching and blended music style.
Our regular Sunday Morning Worship begins at 9:00 AM and may last 15 minutes or more past 10am but seems like only an hour!
The order of worship includes
Gathering in God's Presence
Hearing God's Word
Responding with Thanks
Going out to Serve
(See Sunday's Bulletin)
Special music is regularly provided by our Chancel Choir (except during the summer months.) The Praise Band helps lead singing each Sunday and our children's choir, the Savior Singers, also sing a few times each year.
Regarding the music, we have moved in a new direction to save the environment, time and money by visually displaying the words to all of the hymns and songs, and we have begun again to insert the music into the bulletins.
Sunday morning services include a brief message for the children after which children ages 3 to fifth grade may leave for their own Children's Worship program. Children are also welcome to remain in the service with their families.
Our Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible, has a hearing aid loop, and assistive listening devices are available for the hearing impaired.
Also on every first Sunday of the month is a Prayer Service in the Choir Room.
Children are always welcome in our worship services and there is also nursery and toddler care available Sunday Mornings. Child care for younger children will be provided for special services if you request it through the church office.
There are special worship services, usually in the evening, such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve.
Service opportunities are open for our choir and praise band, ushers, and technical crew.
